I’m a project management leader who has spent my career helping teams bring clarity to complex work. I’ve worked across state government programs, technology organizations, and consulting environments, often stepping into projects that need steadiness, structure, and a way forward. My focus has always been practical: helping people understand what they are solving, why it matters, and how to move together with confidence.
Over the years, I’ve led cross-functional teams, coached project managers, and supported executives who needed a clearer picture of their programs. I’ve seen firsthand how easily projects drift when the work feels vague and how quickly they recover when teams have a shared understanding. Much of my work has centered on making that understanding possible through simple tools, thoughtful conversations, and small habits that make the work easier.
I teach project management in a way that is grounded in real project life. My approach is steady, practical, and focused on clarity rather than complexity. I enjoy helping project managers see problems earlier, ask better questions, and navigate uncertainty with calm and purpose. If there’s a theme in my work, it’s that small, consistent improvements create meaningful outcomes.
I live in Sacramento with my wife and our two black German shepherds, Takashi and Makichan. Outside of work, I spend my time with family, traveling when I can, and reflecting on how to make work more focused, humane, and effective for the teams and leaders I support.
I continue to study how teams work, where communication breaks down, and how project managers can make progress even when the path isn’t fully clear. My goal is to share what I’ve learned so others can build projects that run more smoothly and teams that feel more supported.
